davyt63 1,845
hi taito it will depend on what you are going to use it for ? if you want one for plinking then get the 97 .177 if you want one for competition & hunting then the Chieftain is your rifle,i cant recommend this enough,a couple of weeks ago i hit 3 small disc's the size of a 5p coin @ 65yds in consecutive shots, last Sunday i hit 3 bottle tops at 65yds,in four shots there was a bit of wind, but still good consistency from a SFS tuned rifle. and my average HFT score has increased, due to using the Chieftain. first time out with it i got a 57 score out of 60, i average a 45 with the TX .177 the Chieftain review is under way,its going to take some time because of the early nights, and having to do the filming at the week ends. i can tell you it shoots fine cocks really smooth, the trigger is perfect! the weight is fine, the recoil is minimal, and its not hold sensitive.its perfect! you also can use it as a ambidextrous stock, for the cack hander's out there! i will try and get some pics up later Edited December 9, 2013 by davyt63 Quote Link to post

RAISED at this side for right hander's .. NOT RAISED at this side but still useable by left handers If it has a full ambi cheekpiece then I beg you swap with me!!? bang some pics up of the cheekpieces ? Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
I can shoot mine left handed (pretty darn good aswel lol) but a proper standing-out cheekpiece like on my fully ambi hw77k and hw100kt would be better. Quote Link to post
taito 2
hi davy I cant wait for the review, im sure it will be a cracker as usual! i think im going to go for the cheifton as what you have described about it already is making me want one. im going to join my local range (ford ranges) and start up hft, i already have a few permissions i shoot vermin on so like you said it should be good for both. I am a cack hander aswell so im going to otp for the thumb hole stock as its a true ambi and would be alot more comfy. thanks for the replys and to si and davy keep up the good work with vermin hunters tv i think its the "dogs" all the best Taito Quote Link to post
